Because of the success of last year’s firefighter academy, the Tusayan Fire District is once again holding a volunteer training program at their station just south of Grand Canyon National Park.

After recent wildfires increased concerns about flash flooding in northern Arizona, Tusayan Fire Assistant Chief Ray D’Albini and members of the Tusayan Fire District helped fill more than 13 tons of sandbags for Coconino County.
