Coconino County, Coconino National Forest and Kaibab National Forest announced Nov. 10 that fire restrictions have been lifted.

These restrictions will remain in place for the next several weeks or until significant moisture is received.

WILLIAMS, Ariz. — Because of the ongoing warm weather and below-average rainfall in recent months, Stage 1 Fire Restrictions will remain in effect on the Kaibab National Forest.

WILLIAMS, Ariz. — Due to lack of monsoon precipitation, the Coconino and Kaibab National Forests will reenter Stage 1 campfire and smoking restrictions Aug. 14 at 8 a.m.

Grand Canyon National Park implemented Stage 2 fire restrictions for the South Rim May 25.

The Bureau of Land Management Arizona Strip District issued Stage 1 fire restrictions June 20, which include the Grand Canyon Parashant-National Monument (BLM/NPS), Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and Arizona Strip Field Office.

The city of Williams has made a path for local law enforcement to enforce fire restrictions within the city limits.
