Search underway in Valle for suspect who shot at Coconino County deputies
VALLE, Ariz. - A search is underway for a man who shot at Coconino County Sheriff's Deputies responding to a domestic violence call in Valle.
At approximately 6:50 a.m. on Sept. 14, Coconino County Sheriff’s Deputies from the William Substation responded to Valle, Arizona, for the report of a domestic violence incident involving a weapon.
Responding law enforcement officers from CCSO and the Arizona Department of Public Safety were advised the suspect had left the area and was possibly armed.
An investigation determined a victim at the resident had been assaulted throughout the previous evening, CCSO said.
As officers began securing buildings and searching for the suspect, an unknown subject began firing at the deputies from a nearby ridge line, CCSO said in statement.
Deputies pulled back from the search and a perimeter was set up. The Northern Arizona Tactical Team was deployed to the area along with an Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter.
Units on the scene continue to search the area for the suspect of the initial domestic violence incident. He is identified as Aaron Rose, a 51-year-old white male from Valle. He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt and blue jeans. Rose is approximately 5’10” and 170 lbs. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information on Rose’s location is encouraged to call the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office at (928) 774-4523 or Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111.
