Informational meetings for GCNP construction Sept. 18-19
Join project management staff members at the Shrine of Ages Monday, Sept. 18 from 7-8:30 p.m., or Sept. 19 from 8 - 9 a.m. to learn about the current status of construction projects at the South Rim, including the construction schedule for the Transcanyon Waterline. There will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
Grand Canyon Clinic transitions to winter hours
North Country Healthcare (Grand Canyon Clinic) has transitioned into their winter hours. New hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Canyon Closet reopens
Canyon Closet celebrated its reopening Sept. 9 in Grand Canyon Village at their new temporary library location in the old Chase Bank building by the Market.
Starting Sept. 13, they will be open on Wednesdays from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. For more information contact canyon_closet@grandcanyonschoolpta.org
Canyon Community Yoga
Canyon Community Yoga taks place Mondays at 6 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Grand Canyon Rec Center in Grand Canyon Village. More information is available at canyoncommunityyoga.com.

Shoshone Point day hike Sept. 18
Grand Canyon Rec. Center is offering a day hike to Shoshone Point Sept. 18 at 9 a.m. The hike is free. More information is available from the Rec Center at 928-638-3389.
Picture Canyon hike Sept. 24
Grand Canyon Rec. Center is offering a hiking trip to Picture Canyon Sept. 24. The trip costs $22.50. More information is available from the Rec Center at 928-638-3389.
Grand Canyon Library temporary location
The Grand Canyon Community Library has moved to the old Chase Bank building located adjacent to the Post Office while the building at 11 Navajo Street is being repaired. Library hours will remain the same: 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
Grand Canyon Music Festival continues
Continue to celebrate the 40th Grand Canyon Music Festival.
On Sept. 15, at 5 p.m. there will be a School of Rock concert at Shrine of the Ages, free and open to the public.
That night at 7:30 p.m., The Bonfiglio Group concert plays. Robert Bonfiglio and guitarist Steve Benson are joined by the extraordinary pianist, composer, producer, conductor, music director, and arranger Mark Berman, and locals John Vail and Bryan Stone for an evening of blues, jazz, and more.
On Sept. 16, there will be “40 Years and Deep Time” concert with cellist Rhonda Rider, pianist Judith Gordon, and flutist Clare Hoffman.
All concerts at The Shrine of the Ages, 20 South Entrance Road. Doors at 7 p.m. and shows at 7:30 p.m.
