Tusayan community gardening class May 17 & 24
Tusayan will host its third community gardening class at 5:30 p.m. May 17 at Town Hall.
This event is free and open to the community.
Tusayan library services and story time May 19
Tusayan will host a Community Garden Clean-up Day and children’s story time at 10 a.m. May 12 at the Sports Complex.
This event is free and open to the community.
Evening in Tusayan May 20
The Rec Center is offering a trip to Tusayan for dinner, bowling and a movie May 20. Cost is $5 per person and does not include admission to the bowling alley or movie.
Picnic and nature walk at the Rec Center May 22
The Rec Center will host a picnic lunch followed by a nature walk beginning at 2 p.m. May 22. This event is free and open to the community.
Grand Canyon School graduation and 8th grade promotion ceremonies May 24
Grand Canyon School graduation and 8th grade promotions ceremonies will take place at 6 p.m. on the soccer field.
Three-day camping trip to Phoenix May 24-26
The Rec Center is offering a three-day excursion to Phoenix for camping May 24-26.
Cost is $80 per person. For more information or to sign-up, contact the Rec Center at (928) 638-3389.
Community softball league signups due by May 31
Sign-ups are now open for teams to participate in the annual Grand Canyon community softball league. Teans are co-ed and open to everyone 17 and older.
Team registration fee is $250 per team and is due May 31. Seasonal play begins June 5.

Canyon Community Yoga Mondays and Fridays
Yoga classes are held at 6 p.m. Mondays and 8 p.m. Fridays at the Rec Center. This event is free and open to the community. No experience necessary.
Grand Canyon Visitor Center closed Wednesdays and Thursdays
The Grand Canyon Visitor Center will remain closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays until further notice. Restrooms are still available adjacent to the Visitor Center and the Grand Canyon Conservancy bookstore and gift shop will remain open seven days a week.
Grand Canyon and Tusayan community wellness meetings
Bi-monthly community wellness meetings occur the first and third Wednesday of every month from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Grand Canyon community. Meeting Dial-in: 866-564-9784. Participant Passcode: 2065751
