WHS senior spotlight: Riley McNelly
Riley is a senior at Williams High School. She has attended school in Williams since kindergarten.
In high school, Riley has participated in volleyball and softball. She also has been in the National Honor Society.
Riley’s favorite class was law enfocement.
“It’s interesting to learn about and a fun class to be in. Sometimes we watch Live PD and look at what they did wrong,” she said.
Riley’s favorite teachers have been Mr. Echeverria and Mr. Brownlee.
“They’re always on me to do better and I really appreciate that,” she said.
Riley said her favorite memories in high school were the sports trips. Not only did she love playing the sports, but also traveling and staying in hotels with her friends.
In her downtime, Riley likes working on her dad’s ranch and doing creative writing.
Outside of school, Riley works at Elephant Rocks Golf Course.
After graduation, Riley plans to attend a small university or community college. She is considering studying journalism or writing. She thinks maybe one day she’ll write for a newspaper or write books.
