Lady Vikings to defend state softball title
WILLIAMS, Ariz. — The Williams Vikings baseball and softball programs have qualified for the state playoffs and the Lady Vikings softball team will be defending their State Championship from last year.
The baseball team finished the year ranked No. 4 in the state and the softball team finished ranked No. 3.
“Both our programs will be hosting the first two rounds of the State Playoffs at home,” said Williams High School Athletic Director Philip Echeverria.
Vikings baseball will host on May 3 at 4 p.m. and again May 7 at 4 p.m., if they win the May 3 game.
The Lady Vikings softball will host May 4 at 4 p.m. and again May 6 at 4 p.m., if they win the May 4 game.
Admission will be charged to attend each game.
Tickets can be purchased through the GoFan Application on your phone by visiting AzPreps365, clicking on the baseball or softball bracket and then selecting the 1A bracket and clicking on the tickets button next to the Williams’ games.
The ticket fee is $10 for adult and $5 for students with an additional service fee charged to each ticket.
Administration will be walking around during the games to ask to see tickets in order to validate them, according to Echeverria.
“We enjoy the opportunity to host the state playoffs and appreciate your support in purchasing the tickets to support high school athletics,” Echeverria said.
