Beloved cat from dj's Wild West Junction passes on
To those who haven’t heard yet, Tuffy the “bar cat” and legend of dj’s Wild West Junction, has sadly passed away.
He was loved by so many people here in Williams and also worldwide. Tuffy was born at The Wild West Junction in October 2006. He was named by Julie Foster, but soon after Tuffy adopted Jay Redfeather.
After several attempts of Jay taking Tuffy to his home, Tuffy would always find his way back to The Junction…and there he stayed. For many years Dana Henson was Tuffy’s loving caregiver in the bar while he lived a feral life.
In March of 2020, Dan and Judy Curnes purchased The Junction and were honored when Tuffy adopted them.
Folks would stop by just to see Tuffy and share a shot of cream with him at the bar. He brought smiles to everyone he met and has left lasting memories to all who loved him.
A memorial is planned for Nov. 6 at 4 p.m. in The Long Horn Saloon, 321 E. Route 66. Please bring pictures if you have them and stories to share.
