Water to be temporarily unavailable on Grand Canyon’s South Rim Feb. 11-12
GRAND CANYON, Ariz. — Water service will be temporarily shut off on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park Feb. 11-12, according to park officials.
The shut off will be between the hours of 9 p.m. Feb. 11 until approximately 5 a.m. Feb. 12. The park anticipates the shut off will last approximately eight hours.
“This shut off is necessary to allow for the installation of a new water meter at the South Rim Tank Farm,” the park stated. “This installation will help the National Park Service to better analyze and assess water usage on the South Rim.”
Normal water service will be restored as soon as crews complete the necessary work.
The park is asking residents and visitors to plan accordingly.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate your patience during this time,” the park stated.
