Dakota is a senior at Williams High School. She has attended Williams schools since kindergarten.

Dakota is involved with student council and is currently the student body president. She is in the FCCLA — a school culinary program, and has also played volleyball and participated in cheer at the high school.

Dakota’s favorite classes include English, history and art.

“I really got into poetry this year,” she said. “I also like painting, especially water color.”

Dakota said Ms. Cargill has motivated her and given her a new appreciation for art.

“I love her, she’s fun,” Dakota said.

Dakota said she also appreciates the support of Mrs. Moreno and Mr. Echeverria.

“They are like therapists to all the students, they listen to us,” Dakota said. “They have made the biggest impact on me.”

Outside of school, Dakota has worked at Dairy Queen, Bearizona and Miss Kitty’s.

She said in her free time she likes to spend time with her friends and family. She also enjoys listening to music and going for hikes.

She said participating in cross-country helped her enjoy being outside.

“I like being in the wilderness,” she said.

One of her favorite memories from high school is homecoming. She said she looked forward to it every year.

After graduation, Dakota said she would like to attend cosmetology school and learn more about skin care.
