PARKS, Ariz. — A request for a conditional use permit to operate an RV park in Parks is coming before the Coconino County Board of Supervisors Sept. 14 at 6 p.m.

The request passed the Coconino County Planning and Zoning Commission July 28, but was appealed by concerned parties.

Lisa and Pete Mulgrew, of Double Up, LLC in Cave Creek, are proposing a significant remodel to the existing RV park that will include 80 RV sites and 25 tent sites. The couple will also be renovating and reopening the Rack and Bull restaurant on the property.

During the July 28 P&Z meeting, several people expressed concern about the number of campsites and possible congestion.

The Mulgrews said they have decreased the site numbers from the original proposal to accommodate the community's concerns.

Instructions on how to join the public hearing will be posted at https://www.coconino.az.gov/2216/Zoing-Boards-and-Commissions.
