Lees Ferry Campground opens to the public
LEES FERRY, Ariz. — On Sept. 23, the Lees Ferry Campground opened to the public.
The campground does not take reservations, it is a first-come first-served situation and is $20 per night. It has no hookups and no RV dump — RVs should be prepared before arrival. Each site has a grill and picnic table, and are far enough apart that the entire campground will be available safely.
“Lees Ferry has much to offer this time of year. Whether you want a river experience on a kayak or a fishing boat, a stroll through historic Lonely Dell, a more challenging hike through Cathedral Wash or up the Spencer trail, or just a place to stay on your way to the Kaibab Plateau, now you can spend the night under the stars for some extra time at Lees Ferry,” stated Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
Following guidance from the White House, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and state and local public health authorities, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is increasing access and services. The National Park Service (NPS) is working service wide with federal, state, and local public health authorities to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and using a phased approach to increase access on a park-by-park basis.
