Talking turkey: Town of Tusayan delivers holiday meals

TUSAYAN, Ariz — Members of Tusayan Town Council, town staff and business associates assembled at the Grand Canyon Airport Terminal Nov. 19 to distribute Thanksgiving meals to residents and employees of Tusayan.

Meals included a turkey (or turkey breast, depending on family size), veggies, sides and rolls.

The distribution event was organized by Tusayan Town Hall to assist families in need this holiday season.

Tusayan Town Manager Charlie Hendrix said more than 100 families signed up to receive the meals, and volunteers were signing up additional arrivals at the event.
