Tusayan Fire crews responds to house fire
TUSAYAN, Ariz. — On Oct. 27, Tusayan Fire District, along with firefighters from Grand Canyon National Park responded to a house fire on West Apache Street in Tusayan.
Tusayan Fire District responded with its Ladder-51 — one of the only aerial units in the Grand Canyon area.
According to Tusayan Fire, the building was saved, and there were no human injuries.
“Unfortunately, several cats died from apparent smoke inhalation,” the department stated.
Efforts were made to medically support the surviving cats.
