WILLIAMS, Ariz. — Williams Little League has decided to cancel the season.

“We have made the tough decision to cancel the season based on survey results,” the organization said in an email to participants.

Williams joins Flagstaff, Camp Verde and several other communities in cancelling their season.

“Funds will be credited to the following year unless you request a refund,” they said.

With nearly 220 children participating each season, the Little League board is facing a daunting task for issuing refunds.

“Unfortunately we cannot issue refunds via original payment as Sports Connect does not allow that. Refunds will be made by check and mailed to address on file,” they said.

The organization asks parents to ensure their address is correct in Sports Connect.

Anyone wanting a refund should email williamslittleleague@gmail.com by June 3.

The email should include the player’s name(s) and a correct address.
