Big plans: Grand Canyon seniors carry on

Grand Canyon School is celebrating graduates with a senior procession May 22.

Starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Grand Canyon Airport in Tusayan, a senior procession will drive through the town of Tusayan to Grand Canyon National Park, ending at Grand Canyon School where seniors will receive diplomas and will be recognized for their academic achievements. Students will also have the opportunity to have photos taken. Social distancing guidelines will be in place. The celebration at Grand Canyon School can be viewed from personal vehicles. Each senior is allowed one car per family.

Grand Canyon School's eighth grade promotion will also feature a procession that will start at the Grand Canyon Conservancy warehouse in Grand Canyon Village at 5 p.m. and will end at Grand Canyon School.

These celebrations will be live streamed on the school website.
