Obituary: Cleo A. Tissaw
Former long-time resident Cleo A. Tissaw, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Cornville, AZ on Monday, March 9, 2020 with her family present.
Cleo was born on the family ranch near Springerville, Arizona on March 20, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bess (Childress) and Clarence Simpson, her step-parents, Lula and Floyd Simmons, ten brothers and sisters and her husband of 44 years, George A. Tissaw.
She is survived by her son Ron (Donna) Tissaw of Williams; her daughter Gay (Charlie) Dean of Cornville; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild and dozens of nieces and nephews and their families. She will be missed by all.
Cleo arrived in Williams with her family in 1954. She was active in the Calvary Baptist Church as well as a leader in Brownie Scouts, Cub Scouts and 4-H. She and her husband retired to Cornville in 1976.
Cleo loved gardening and get-togethers with her extended family on birthdays and holidays.
Following her request, no funeral services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
