Fire Prevention Golf Tourney raises $4,000
The 18th annual Williams Fire Prevention Golf Tournament raised more than $4,000 for Williams Volunteer Fire Department June 6.
The tournament is one of the only and the biggest fundraiser of the year for the department, with proceeds going toward fire prevention programs for local youth as well as smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, among other prevention materials for the community. This year the tournament had 34 teams. A buffet style lunch was served with food provided by Kennelly Family Concepts. Other donors included Pine Country Restaurant and Canyon Coolers.
