WEMS announces November Students of the Month
WILLIAMS, Ariz. — Williams Elementary-Middle School recently announced its November Students of the Month (SOM).
Damian Caballero is the pre-kindergarten SOM. Damian has a very kind heart, and is a great friend to everyone in class. Damian follows directions, and is a great role-model for the other kids in his class. He also has a great imagination, and is often found in the discovery center during center time.
The kindergarten SOM is Frankie Harvey. Frankie is a very kind girl who always has a hug for a student who is feeling sad. She has been a big help welcoming a new student to our class. She always tries her best in her work, does her homework, and never gets her name on the board. We are so glad Frankie is in our class!
The first grade SOM is Oliver Gutierrez. Oliver is new to our school this year. He has stepped right up to show that he is a student that SOARS. He is always willing to help out his peers. He tries his best in class, even when something is challenging for him. He is kind and respectful to everyone. He is on-task in the classroom and always completes his work. It has been a pleasure getting to know him this year. Keep up the great work, Oliver!
The second grade SOM is Megan Fitzgerald. Megan is a wonderful student and a Falcon who soars every day. She takes her time and completes every assignment with determination. She is always a willing helper to her teacher and for her peers. She started the year super shy and quiet. Megan has come out of her shell and is starting to show her teacher her amazing personality. She is loves to play with her friends and gets very excited to choose a prize from the prize box. She always participates in class and completes her homework. That is why she is our second grade student of the month.
The third grade SOM is Reese Skinner. Reese is a girl that I can count on to always be doing what she is supposed to be doing. She does her best on all assignments and can be found doing something productive when she is finished. She gets along great with her classmates and often found running errands for me, because she has completed her work and I KNOW she will not mess around even when unsupervised. Reese is a pleasure to have in class and she is very deserving of SOM. Congratulations Reese!
The fourth grade SOM is Bobby Sanders. Bobby has such a big heart. Selfless, caring, and hardworking are just a few ways to describe what a great student he is. He consistently puts the best interest of others ahead of his own. He is a friend to all and offers a helping hand to any student or teacher in need. He puts his best effort into his assignments and strives to improve in all areas. Congratulations, Bobby!
The fifth grade SOM is Corbin Clark. Corbin is kind and patient and a great friend to everyone. He works very hard in class and is an excellent student. His dedication to learning and getting all of his assignments turned in on time is very impressive. We are so lucky to have such a great new role model in our class this year.
The eighth grade male SOM is Zach McKee. Zach has shown tremendous growth over the past three years. He has become an invaluable source of information in our classroom, and often shares insights and facts that benefit his classmates. He is consistently engaged and supportive of me as a teacher and of his classmates. I often joke that Zach could teach my class if I’m ever out sick and the fact is, that I’m not joking! He is brilliant.
The eight grade female SOM is Jessica Bernard. Jessica is a team player. She always strives to do her best work and shows up for class ready to learn. She is supportive, respectful, kind and creative. Jessica represents our Falcons well!
