Obituary: Betty Strange
Betty Strange died September 1, 2016 of pancreatic and liver cancer. She was born October 5, 1941 at the Grand Canyon. She graduated from Williams High School in 1958. She worked in many businesses in Williams before moving to Prescott to care for her mother. In 2012 she moved into the Pioneer Home in Prescott. At the age of 70 she was the youngest person of 100 people who lived there.
She is survived by her brother Sam Strange of Williams and sister Louana Otero, also of Williams. She was predeceased by her grandparents, parents, two sisters, one brother, seven aunts and one uncle. She will be missed by all her friends. Graveside services were held Saturday, September 24 at 10:00 am.
Betty and Sam Strange and Louana Otero were the heirs of Kirby’s Camp, Grand Canyon AZ. Kirby’s Camp existed from1926 to 1942. Later Kirby’s Camp became Moqui Lodge.
