Williams 911: Week of Nov. 2
The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service (among others) —
•Officers assisted Arizona Department of Public Safety with an accident on I-40;
•Officers responded to a shoplifting call at local business on Route 66;
•Officers responded to a suspicious person at a local hotel;
•Officers took a report of an assault that occurred 4 days ago at Love’s Travel Stop;
•Officers responded to a disturbance on Rodeo Road, an intoxicated person was taken home;
•Officers took a private property accident report on Railroad Avenue,
•Officers responded to a medical call on Route 66. Patient turned over to Life Line;
•Officers took in found property at Clover Hill Shell station. Officer contacted the owner, who picked up the property;
•Officers took a report of a delayed assault that occurred on Seventh Street;
•Officers took a report from a tourist who hit something in the roadway with a rental car;
•Officers responded to a disturbance on Fulton Street, a disturbance was verbal only, parties were separated;
•Officers responded to a fight on Fulton Street, a man arrested for a felony warrant;
•Officers assisted Coconino County Sheriff’s Department with a DUI arrest on South Road;
•Officers responded to a medical call on Sherman Ave. Patient turned over to Life Line;
•Officers responded to a trespassing call at a local hotel. Person was removed from the property;
•Officers dealt with a civil matter at a local hotel;
•Officers dealt with a civil matter at a local apartment complex;
•Officers investigated a non-injury accident on Pine St. and Route 66;
•Officers walked through fall festival at middle school and volleyball game at high school;
•Officers picked up a loose dog at Grand Canyon Railway;
•Officers responded to a disturbance at a local hotel. Disturbance was verbal only, parties were separated;
•Officers took a report of theft at a local hotel. Victim called back and found item in room;
•Officers responded to a medical call at Love’s Travel Stop. Patient turned over to Lifeline;
•Officers responded to a deer shot on the golf course. Investigations showed deer was shot in forest behind golf course, ran onto the golf course, and died;
•Officers responded to a domestic dispute on Grant Ave. Dispute was verbal only, parties were separated;
•Officers responded to a dog attack at Safeway. A woman was attacked by a dog, which was detained and transported to shelter. Dog owner became belligerent and was arrested for disorderly conduct. Victim was transported to clinic;
•Officers investigated a non-injury accident on 3rd St. and Railroad Avenue;
•Officers took a report of private property accident at a local hotel;
•Officers responded to a mental health situation on Grant Ave. Person was transported to Flagstaff Guidance Center;
•Officers responded to shots fired near the golf course. Nothing was found in the area, possible hunters;
•Officers took a report of possible trespassing at a local hotel;
•Officers responded to an intoxicated man causing issues on Route 66. Man was removed from area by ambulance after he fell several times;
•Officers responded to a loud party on Homestead Ave. Owner turned down music;
•Officers responded to a loud party on 5th St. Owner turned down music;
•Officers responded to a disturbance on Route 66. Subjects fled area before officer arrival;
•Officers responded to a disturbance on 11th St. Disturbance turned out to be Halloween display screaming;
•Officers responded to suspicious activity at a local hotel;
•Officers responded to disturbance on Morse Ave. Disturbance was a family matter, handled on scene;
•Officers took a report of theft at Love’s Travel Stop;
•Officers responded to a suspicious person at a local hotel;
•Officers responded to a noise complaint on 2nd St. Music turned down;
•Officers responded to a man following a little girl at a hotel. The older man was concerned about the little girl running around the hotel alone, handled on scene;
•Officers assisted at play-off football game;
•Officers responded to a medical at local hotel. Patient turned over to Life Line;
•Officers responded to a vehicle blocking traffic on Railroad Avenue, the vehicle was tagged; and
•Officers issued 13 citations and gave out 44 warnings.
