WILLIAMS, Ariz. — The general election for candidates running for public office takes place Nov. 8.

Williams voters can cast their ballots at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel’s Grand Canyon Room, 235 N. Grand Canyon Blvd., St. John’s Episcopal-Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grant or in Parks at Maine Consolidated School Music Room, north parking lot 10 N Spring Valley Rd., and in Ash Fork at the Ash Fork Public Library 450 W. Lewis Ave.

Polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters are encouraged to use sample ballots and informational pamphlets to be prepared to vote prior to going to polling places on Election Day. A voter may bring a sample ballot with them to the polling place to use as a guide when he or she votes.

Voters that have limited time to go to their polling place on Election Day may want to vote early in person prior to Election Day to avoid lines. A list of dates and times to vote early is available at www.coconino.az.gov/elections and by selecting ‘Early voting locations.’

Voters that vote at the polling place on Election Day will need to meet the identification requirements to cast a regular ballot. For a list of acceptable IDs to vote go to the Elections Office webpage: www.coconino.az.gov/elections and select ‘List of Acceptable ID for Voting’.

Coconino County voters that were mailed an early ballot may drop off their voted early ballot, sealed in the return ballot envelope at any Coconino County polling place during the hours that the polling place is open Nov. 8. Early ballots must have the voter’s signature on the outside of the return envelope.

Early ballots from other counties or states should not be dropped off at Coconino County polling places because they will not be able to be counted. Early ballots from other counties or states need to be returned to the county that issued the early ballot by Nov. 8.

More information is available from the Elections Office at (800) 793-6181 or (928) 679-7860.
