Obituary: Dorothy L. Willett
Dot "the Bowler" bowled her last game surrounded by her dear family on April 23, 2016 and joined her husband, Floyde C. Willett, Sr., on the Bowling Lanes of Eternal Life.
Dorothy was born December 27, 1922 to Louella and Ralph Lowe in Buffalo, New York where she grew up in Holland with Ruth, Nancy, Ralph, Ed and Bobby. Dot and Floyde made their home in Williams, Arizona, with their children Floyde 'Bud' Jr., Deane, Bruce 'Cookie' and Christine.
Dot was an avid bowler and participated across the U.S. with her team mates. She loved bowling with her eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and four great, great grandchildren and left her bowling ball for them to use.
The Grand Canyon was her backyard and she relished her community clubs, social events and coworkers. Her humorous, spirited soul was shared by everyone she knew during the seven decades she lived in the Williams area.
Preceeding her in death were Floyd Willett, Sr., husband, Deane, son and her brothers, Ed, Ralph and Bobbie.
The Willett family invites her friends to a gathering Sunday, May 22, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sultana Theater, 301 W Rt. 66, Williams. Cards may be sent to Willett Family, 11435 N Crestview St, Flagstaff, Az. 86004. Join the family for cookies and punch.
