Williams Habitat for Humanity home dedication March 5
WILLIAMS, Ariz. - Jose and Josefina Hernandez and their four children come one step closer to achieving the dream of home ownership next week, by celebrating the dedication of their recently completed Habitat for Humanity home.
The family has partnered with the Williams Area Habitat for Humanity to build their new home since last summer, and will close on the home next week.
Habitat for Humanity invites the community to join the Hernandez family for their home dedication ceremony March 5. Josefina Hernandez is supplying refreshments. The open house will take place at the family's new home at 907 Wells Fargo in Williams at 11 a.m.
Williams Area Habitat for Humanity treasurer Bud Parenteau said he wants to thank the city of Williams, Habitat's Board of Directors, contractors, suppliers, volunteers and friends of the Hernandez family who have helped fulfill their Sweat Equity requirements.
"We are so grateful to all of the donors and volunteers that supported this," Parenteau said.
Parenteau said Holiness Church has coordinated with other Williams churches to collect pantry donations for the Hernandez family.
"This was Cosette Riggs idea," Parenteau said. "They wanted to help the Hernandez family get settled in their new home."
Parenteau said Holiness Church is asking each family to donate one pantry item to the Hernandez family. Items can be delivered to any local church and will be collected by Holiness Church.
