Power restored at Phantom Ranch
GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - At around 7 p.m. Jan. 25 Arizona Public Service crews were able to locate the fault in the power line and restore power to Phantom Ranch.
Phantom Ranch, a concession operated by Xanterra South Rim LLC is scheduled to reopen to visitors Jan. 27. More information or questions about an existing reservation at Phantom Ranch can be made to Xanterra at (928) 638-3283.
Bright Angel Campground remains open at this time to hikers with a valid permit. All thru-hikers and overnight guests at the campground should be prepared to carry and/or treat all drinking water.
