Williams Elementary-Middle School announces February Students of the Month
WILLIAMS, Ariz. - The kindergarten student of the month is Vetta McKinzie. Her teacher said Vetta is a good girl who never gets her name put on the board. She tries her best in her work and always does her homework. Her teacher said she was impressed by Vetta counting by fives. Vetta is respectful and likes to help others and her teacher is glad that Vetta is in her class.
The first grade student of the month is Joaquin Godinez. His teacher said that Joaquin is an amazing citizen and worker in class and he is always one of the first to help a fellow student. Joaquin gives 100 percent of his effort to his school work and is willing to help others with enthusiasm. His teacher said Joaquin is the go to guy when it comes to helping with computers. He has a great attitude and smiles every single day. His teacher said they are lucky to have him in class and is very proud of Joaquin.
Daizy Vazquez is the second grade student of the month. She is on task and finishes all of her assignments in a timely manner. Her teacher said Daizy is a team player who exhibits leadership qualities when working in small groups and large group activities. She is caring, thoughtful and kind showing great character in class, at specials and free time. Her teacher said Daizy is a pleasure to work with and is proud of her.
The third grade student of the month is Vicente Godinez, who is a quiet student who works very hard in class. His teacher said although Vicente struggles sometimes, he never gives up. His teacher gives a lot of credit to Vicente's family who work hard at helping him at home and give him great support. His teacher is proud to have Vicente in class.
The fourth grade student of the month is Nickoli Cody. His teacher said Nickoli is a joy to have in class, he is a perfectionist and gives 100 percent. Whenever Nickoli finishes a project, test or assignment, his teacher knows it is his best work. He is responsible, caring and knows when to have fun and when to get down to business. His teacher is glad Nickoli moved to Williams this year and is honored to be able to watch him grow.
The fifth grade student of the month is Makaela Mackay. Makaela is a great role model for her peers and is a responsible and very hard worker. Her teacher said Makaela takes pride in everything she does and makes sure that she has stepped it up to get the best grades possible. Makaela always has a smile on her face and is always ready and willing to help her classmates. Her teacher said Makaela is new to the school this year and has been a positive addition to the fifth grade class.
