Williams 911: week of Dec. 14
The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service (among others) —
• Officers responded to an alarm on Stoneman Boulevard;
• Officers responded to a disturbance at a local hotel, the issue turned out to be a mental health issue;
• Officers responded to trespassing on Rodeo Road, the person involved was removed;
• Officers turned a medical call on Pinehurst Avenue over to Life Line;
• Officers turned an attempted suicide on Franklin Avenue over to Life Line;
• Officers turned a medical call on Fulton Avenue over to Life Line;
• Officers arrested a man for assault and criminal damage after a domestic call on Fifth Street;
• Officers took a private property accident report at Bearizona;
• Officers turned a medical call about a heart attack victim at a local hotel over to Life Line;
• Officers responded to a local business on Grand Canyon Boulevard in reference to an assault of the owner by an employee, a man assaulted the owner and ran from police, the man was identified and will be charged with aggravated assault;
• Officers responded to an overdose on Seventh Street;
• Officers responded to Safeway in reference to a man who was intoxicated getting into a vehicle, officers stopped the vehicle on Route 66 and arrested the man for extreme DUI (driving under the influence of alcohol).
• Officers responded to a disturbance on Sixth Street, a man violated a court order and fled the area;
• Officers responded to a violation of a court order again on Sixth Street, a man was arrested for two counts of violating a court order and trespassing;
• Officers assisted an elderly female who fell on Second Street;
• Officers responded to a suspicious person behind the gas station on Grand Canyon Boulevard;
• Officers arrested a man for extreme DUI on Rodeo Road;
• Officers responded to a suspicious person at the senior center;
• Officers arrested a man for driving with a suspended license plate on Route 66, the man was cited and released;
• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on Railroad Avenue, a motor home hit the roof of Pine Country and left the area;
• Officers took a delayed assault report that occurred at Safeway between two high school students, no prosecution was desired by the parent;
• Officers took an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (joy riding) report on Sixth Street;
• Officers took a vehicle burglary report at a local hotel;
• Officers took another report of a vehicle burglary at another hotel;
• Officers took a theft of a car dolly report from Car Quest;
• Officers turned a medical call on Slagel Avenue over to Life Line;
• Officers assisted the Phoenix Police Department with locating the owner of a stolen vehicle;
• Officers assisted with traffic control for a water leak on Grand Canyon Boulevard;
• Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle in the visitor center parking lot;
• Officers responded to a local business in reference to a trespassed man, officers arrested a man for two outstanding warrants;
• Officers responded to a disturbance on Edison Avenue, which turned out to be a mental health situation;
• Officers responded to a disturbance on Edison Avenue, the person involved was told to separate and they complied;
• Officers turned a medical call on Quarter Horse Avenue over to Life Line; and
• Officers issued 11 citations and gave out 26 warnings.
