WILLIAMS, Ariz. -Food, entertainment, a raffle and a silent auction are all on tap at the Grand Canyon Renaissance Experience's "A Knight to Remember" fundraiser.

The event takes place Dec. 5 from 7-10 p.m. at the Sultana Theater.

Entertainment will include dancers, music and a costume contest.

"We already have commitments from the Gypsy Chicks and will feature the music and dance of Foxy Kushka," said organizer Mark Worden, Grand Canyon Renaissance Experience's managing director.

This year's event includes a costume contest where attendees are encouraged to wear Renaissance, Western, Steampunk, Christmas or Cosplay outfits. Come as you are is fine too.

"We encourage everyone to come and enjoy the show," Worden said. "This is going to be fun."

Grand Canyon Renaissance Experience has hosted several Renaissance events in northern Arizona throughout the years. Worden has also been working on trying to bring a permanent interactive Renaissance themed park to Williams. The project would potentially include a five-acre castle and castle yard.

"The park would be open throughout the year, creating more jobs and adding to our local economy," Worden said.

Proceeds from this event will be used to help recoup prior expenses and also go toward bringing the Grand Canyon Renaissance Faire to Williams. The faire will provide opportunities for businesses and locals interested in volunteering, vending, sponsorships and lodging.

Tickets for the three-hour event are available at the Williams Chamber of Commerce during business hours. They are $30 advance purchase for couples or $34 at the door. Individuals are $16 advance purchase or $18 at the door. Tickets are good for the dinner and an evening filled with entertainment, prizes, a raffle, a silent auction and a chance to see and hear about Worden's plans for a Renaissance park in the Williams community.
