Veterans Ceremony at Monument Park Nov. 11
The VFW Auxiliary Matthew James Broehm Post 12128 will place a memorial wreath on the Veteran statue in Monument Park Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. A candle light vigil and balloon release to honor veterans will also take place. Everyone is invited to attend.
An annual coat drive taks place Oct. 1 through May 1. Coats can be dropped off at the Williams Realty and the Rec. Center. More information is available from Bud Parenteau at (928) 635-4393.
Come one, come all to the 12th annual holiday craft show in Williams Nov. 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sultana Theater with 30 vendors on hand with a variety of gifts for the holiday season. Visitors can have their pictures taken with pets, family and friends. The craft show is dedicated to Carma Lee.
A children's sewing class for ages nine and older takes place Fridays at 10 a.m. starting Nov. 13. An adult sewing classt takes place Saturdays at 10 a.m. starting Nov. 7. Addresses needed for Christmas Boxes
Addresses are needed by Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) for military personnel addresses to send Christmas boxes. Personnel who haven't moved or have the same address as last year need to resubmit the address to ESA. The boxes will be put together on Dec. 3. SAVE-MTR annual enchilada sale
SAVE-MTR is sponsoring its annual fundraising enchilada sale. Orders are $10 and need to be placed by Nov. 23 to be picked up Nov. 25. Orders can be placed by calling Robynn at 635-4726 or pre-paid orders may be placed at Many Tails.
Williams Chamber Residential Lighting Contest
The Williams-Grand Canyon Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Christmas light contest. The theme is "The Songs of Christmas." Applications can be picked up at the Williams Chamber at 200 West Railroad Ave. More information can be found at (928)635-0273.

Adult Basketball every Wednesday
The city of Williams and the Williams School District are sponsoring adult basketball games Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. at Williams Elementary-Middle School gym. Basketball skills required. High School ages and older. More information is available from Rose Newbold at (928) 635-1496.
Open Gym on Thursdays
The city of Williams and the Williams School District are sponsoring an open gym for eighth grade and younger at WEMS on Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. when school is in session. TOPS Chapter 0541
TOPS Chapter 0541meets Thursdays (there will be no meetings the third Thursday of each month until further notice) at the conference room of the Williams North Country Health Care Center, 301 South Seventh St., Williams. 2015 Williams Fire Dept Big Buck Contest
Williams Fire Department is having a fundraising Big Buck Contest. Proceeds go toward fire prevention programs. Eligible hunters are general rifle and October junior rifle deer. VFW Auxiliary selling balloons
The VFW Auxilary for Matthew James Broehm Post 12128 is selling balloons in honor of veterans. The Auxilary will have a table set up at the National Bank of Arizona in Williams Oct. 23 and Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will honor veterans who have passed away with white balloons, current military with red balloons and all other veterans with blue balloons. Tags will be placed on the balloons, which will be released Nov. 11 at the memorial in Monument Park at 5 p.m.
VFW Auxiliary Wreaths Across America sponsorships
The VFW Auxiliary Matthew James Broehm Post 12128 is selling Wreaths Across America sponsorships The wreaths are $15 for one. If two wreaths are purchased, a third wreath is donated.
The VFW Auxiliary will help with the laying of the wreaths at the National Cemetery in Prescott Dec. 12.
Wreath sponsorships can be purchased from any Auxiliary member or by calling (928) 225-0931. National Bank of Arizona will set up a table in Williams Oct. 9 and 23 and Nov. 6. Sponsorships must be paid at that time.
"A Night to Remember" Costume Gala and Show Dec. 5
Grand Canyon Renaissance Experience is putting on a costume gala, dinner show and community presentation Dec. 5 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $30 for a couple, $16 for singles with advanced purchase.
The show will include a costume contest, raffle and silent auction. More information can be found at (928) 635-2394.
Big Buck Contest
A Big Buck contest and raffle is open to all units south of Grand Canyon. The hunter to score the widest buck (outside to outside) will win a PSE Surge Bow with full package.
The contest ends Jan. 31, 2016 and the drawing takes place Feb. 1 at The Outdoor Store.

Cancer Support Group
The Cancer Support group meets the second Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Williams Health Care Center.
Williams High School Athletics Towel Drive
