Business beat: Ivos Restaurant
Ivos on Route 66 featuresschnitzel, stroganoff and barbecue
WILLIAMS, Ariz. - Williams residents don't have to go far to enjoy authentic European food. The newly opened Ivos restaurant now serves the cuisine, as well as barbecue.
Ivos opened about a month and a half ago. The restaurant is named for its owner, Ivo Ruml.
"We specialize in mainly the barbecue, and also a little bit European food, kind of a combination," said Ruml, who is from the Czech Republic.
The barbecue portion of the menu includes ribs, chicken, pork and beef. The European fare includes bratwurst, stroganoff and schnitzel.
"It's a home cooking kind of cuisine," Ruml said.
Ruml had a restaurant and hotel in Bryce Canyon about 10 years ago. A friend from Argentina who had a business in Williams recommended that Ruml open a restaurant here.
"Williams is a beautiful town, and it's the first road to the Grand Canyon," Ruml said. "We like it here very much in Arizona."
Ivos is located at 122 W. Route 66. The restaurant is open seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. More information is available at (928) 635-1570.
