Stilo Group's fourth annual holiday party Dec. 21
TUSAYAN, Ariz. - Local children and their families can get into the holiday spirit at Stilo Group's fourth annual holiday party Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sophie's Mexican Kitchen.
"It's going to be a lot of fun for everyone," said Sandi Angat, who is Stilo's community outreach coordinator. "Everything is free."
Initially, the party started out small, with a few gingerbread houses available for local children to build. Since then, Angat said it's consistently grown into a large community event.
This year, the event has moved to Sophie's Mexican Kitchen and Angat said organizers are expecting more than 100 people.
Around 75 gingerbread houses are supplied, and each family is allotted one to make together.
Children will be able to have their picture taken with Santa, and take away magnetic framed photos as a keepsake.
Angat said because of the popularity of the event, reservations are encouraged. Families can RSVP at Tusayansfuture@gmail.com or by calling Angat at (928) 266-2604.
"Santa comes and gives the young participants gifts and candy canes, the kids build gingerbread houses and they have breakfast," Angat said.
