Thank you to the Grand Canyon community
To the editor:
Thank you to the Grand Canyon community once again for continuing to support education at Grand Canyon Schools by contributing to both Boxtops for Education and Labels for Education programs. This time, with the help from Irina Ermakova-Zuninga from IMAX, we raised $750, that's over 7,500 boxtops! A huge thank you also goes out to third grader Katherine Zuniga for bringing them all to my classroom! They have been saving labels from the IMAX on packages of Nature Valley granola bars. In September, Katherine brought in four enormous bags of labels. Another huge thanks goes out to my 7th and 8th grade classes for sorting and counting.
Our check should be issued sometime in March. Money raised will be used to buy much needed literature sets in the elementary and middle school language arts programs.
Labels can be dropped off any time in a variety of places: Grand Canyon School, Xanterra Human Resources, Kaibab Learning Center, Delaware North, and the Rec Center. Thank you once again for all your support! Next deadline is March 1, 2013. For more information online, please see the following websites, Boxtops: www.labels4education.org and Campbell's Soup: www.labelsforeducation.com.
Sincerely,
Lori Rommel
