Tickets still available for Rotary on the Rim's annual holiday dinner dance
GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - On Dec. 8, the famous El Tovar Hotel will host The Grand Canyon Rotary Club's annual Holiday Dinner Dance. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
The evening of dinner, dancing, auctions and raffles will also include a specialty entrée honoring the Rotary International Convention scheduled for Lisbon, Portugal. El Tovar chef Matt McTigue and staff will provide dinner and Exit 64, a local band that has been a favorite for years, will supply the music.
This annual event is a major fundraising effort by Grand Canyon's Rotary on the Rim. Proceeds go toward local community grants, service projects and scholarships for students pursuing post-secondary learning.
This year there will be tickets sold for cash prizes ranging from $100 to $5,000. The tickets are $20 each and can be purchased from any Rotarian. There will only be 1,000 tickets sold for this event.
Not only does Rotary host the holiday dinner dance, the service club also organizes community cleanups, an Easter egg hunt, a chili cook-off, community grants, scholarships, community member of the year award and a major partnership with the school/community park in Tusayan, in which Rotary has pledged to build the community ramada.
Dinner tickets are $50 each and may be purchased from any Grand Canyon Rotarian, on EventBrite or by contacting Yvonne Trujillo at email@example.com.
