Nominations sought for second annual Justin Boyd Willie Agricultural Humanitarian of the Year Award
Winner will be honored May 5

CAMERON, Ariz. - The Peshlakai Cultural Foundation (PCF), DINE, Inc.'s Navajo Nation Traditional Agricultural Outreach, the Willie Family and the Redhouse Clan of the Navajo are accepting nominations of outstanding indigenous agricultural humanitarians.

The Second Annual Justin Boyd Willie Agricultural Humanitarian of the Year Award (JBWHYA) will be awarded on May 5 at the Mother Earth Gathering in Cameron, Ariz. The awardee will receive a specially designed "JBWHYA of the Year" plaque; and honorable gifts from the PCF, DINE, Inc, the Willie family the Navajo people of the Redhouse Clan.

Submission of candidates will accepted until 5 p.m. April 18 and selection of the recipient will be on April 22.

The deserving recipient shall be an Indigenous person that has contributed selflessly through community service in northern Arizona and beyond amongst Native American communities and lands. The nominee ought to have contributed to the teaching of cultural preservation and traditions through Indigenous agriculture volunteer activities with youth, elders, and communities in Indian country.

Explain and describe in detail the outstanding work and dedication of nominee. All serious nominations will be accepted in all forms submitted.
