The New Year's dance given by the Masonic Temple Association was a very successful one. A large crowd attended and favors of hats and whistles were given out just before midnight to usher in the New Year.
50 years ago Jan. 4, 1962
Mrs. Herbert Ham was hostess at a birthday anniversary dinner honoring her husband Wednesday evening. Present in addition to the Ham family were Mr. and Mrs. John Wamble and children.
35 years ago Jan. 6, 1977
The Williams Grade School looked forlorn and rejected Monday morning as school was called off when five inches of snow fell during the night. City street crews were soon on the scene and school was back in session the next day. During the past week, 16.5 inches of snow has fallen on a dry and dusty Williams.
