Letter: Renaissance Experience still looking for a permanent home in Williams

To the Editor:

Thanks to all who attended our show "A Knight to Remember!' at the Sultana Theater Dec. 1. It was a great show with some amazing talent, music, dancing, the Queen and more.

It was also a chance to show our community the quality of what we can bring to Williams with the Grand Canyon Renaissance Faire and later with the Grand Canyon Renaissance Experience!

Now on to finding the right location for the next faire. We are excited to ultimately build our castle, castle yard and interactive Renaissance Park right off of I-40 and the Garland Prairie exit. But, there are definite advantages to finding a site with power, water, more shade and less rocks to put on the next faire.

If you have a ranch or a piece of property here in the Williams area and would be willing to host us we would love to talk to you right away.

Special thanks to all who contributed prizes and silent auction items for our event. Thanks to John Pela and Associates for the excellent renderings of our project, to Anna from Grand Canyon Coffee and Cafe who catered the event, to Teresa Stevens for letting us bring our show to the incredible Historic Sultana Theater (it was the perfect place), thanks to our emcee Cameron Haney, my staff Carl Bilharz, Heather Levin and Terry Warnock and to all the incredible volunteers and performers who helped us put on a truly great show!

As a famous performer once said "just you wait, you ain't seen nothing yet!'

Peace and Huzzah!

Mark Worden,

Managing Director,

Grand Canyon Renaissance Experience!
