Easter Bunny will arrive at 11 a.m. Saturday
Organizers promise more fun, food and endless candy at egg hunt
WILLIAMS - The Easter Bunny will arrive in Williams one day earlier than Easter this year for an egg hunt. Don't miss an opportunity to visit the Easter Bunny 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Williams Recreation Center, 301 W. Railroad Ave.
The city of Williams and the Williams Food Bank co-sponsor the event. Organizer Guy Mikkelsen has promised more great food than ever, along with endless candy, prizes and of course, the Easter Bunny will be on hand for the entire event.
A bunny trail will be available for children 0-3-years-old. There will also be egg hunts for the 4-6 and 7-9 age groups with candy and a prize for all participants. Children 4-9-years-old will be given a chance to win one of four new bikes to be raffled, sponsored by local resident Carol Glassburn. Plus, tots through age 3 can also enter a free raffle for a Little Tykes 30th anniversary car.
Bring your camera and snap some shots in front of Mikkelsen's photo gallery, a new addition to the "eggstravaganza" this year. The choice of eight different photoboards will spark laughter for years to come.
"This year we will have more fun activities like peg the chicken, dodgeball and face painting," Mikkelsen said. "We have tons of prizes for all ages."
Williams youth should bring their own Easter basket to collect candy and prizes, but the Food Bank will also have some on hand for basketless children.
Community members are needed as volunteers to set up, organize games, food, prizes and cleanup. Anyone wishing to be involved, either by volunteering or making a donation, can call Guy Mikkelsen at 607-6421 or 607-7915. The Williams Food Bank is a qualified 501c3 charity and all donations are tax deductible.
