Take a train to secret pumpkin patch via Grand Canyon Railway
WILLIAMS, Ariz. - Grand Canyon Railway (GCR) will offer special runs to its "secret pumpkin patch" on select weekends in October.
In addition to choosing a pumpkin to take home, guests will enjoy refreshments such as pumpkin pie and hot cider, a hay maze and crafts. Pumpkin decorating and face painting will take place at the depot as well.
The Pumpkin Patch Train will depart on the hour 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Oct. 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23. Seats are on a first-come, first-served basis. A pumpkin for each child on the train is included.
"Picking out a pumpkin for Halloween is good old-fashioned family fun," said Bob Baker, general manager for GCR. "Going by train just makes the event more fun and memorable."
GCR is an authorized concessioner of the National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service. For more information,
