• The city of Williams has paid off its indebtedness on the swimming pool. By the farsighted planning of Mayor Ray Larson, that time-honored project is now free of financial obligation. An official opening date has been set for May 30, but Mayor Larson said if the weather remains warm and suitable for outdoor swimming, he saw no reason why the pool shouldn't be open sooner.
