Williams 911: Week of March 23, 2011

The Williams Police Department answered the following calls for service -

• Officers responded to a welfare check on Franklin.

• Officers responded to a hit and run at a hotel. A male suspect assaulted an officer and resisted arrest. He was arrested for those charges and hit and run.

• Officers responded to a verbal domestic on Route 66.

• Officers took a delayed report of theft on Second.

• Officers assisted the Coconino County Sheriff's Office with locating an assault suspect.

• Officers responded to an alarm on Route 66.

• Officers responded to a couch in the middle of First Street. An officer removed the couch.

• Officers responded to an alarm on Grand Canyon Boulevard.

• Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle on Route 66.

• Officers took a report of credit card fraud on Sherman.

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on an onramp.

• Officers took a report of harassment on Route 66.

• Officers responded to an intoxicated male on Third and Route 66. Officers arrested the man for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

• Officers took a report of a bike theft on Grant.

• Officers took a report of a private property accident on Grand Canyon Boulevard.

• Officers responded to a noise complaint on Edison.

• Officers took in a found wallet.

• Officers responded to an alarm on Route 66.

• Officers took a report of a private property accident on Railroad.

• Officers dealt with an intoxicated male on First and Railroad.

• Officers responded to a domestic argument on Sheridan.

• Officers responded to suspicious activity on Morse.

• Officers took a report of criminal damage on Route 66.

• Officers arrested a male for driving while suspended on Grand Canyon Boulevard. The vehicle was impounded for a mandatory 30 days.

• Officers dealt with numerous issues related to snow including private property accidents, accidents, stuck vehicles and elderly needing assistance with shoveling.

• Officers responded to Homestead in reference to domestic violence. A male was arrested for assault.

• Officers issued 12 citations and gave out 26 warnings.
