Fire Department golf tourney Saturday at Elephant Rocks
WILLIAMS, Ariz. - The Williams Volunteer Fire Department is planning their 11th Annual Fire Prevention Golf Tournament. The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. July 9 at Elephant Rocks Golf Course. The tournament is a four-man scramble format. Proceeds will be used to purchase a fire safety trailer.
The cost per four-man team is $325 or $80 per individual player prior to July 1. After July 1, teams are $375 or $90 for individual players. Sign up fast as there is room for only 28 teams.
Raffle tickets are one for $1 or six for $5. A hole in one on the 18th hole wins $10,000. Mulligans will be sold prior to the shotgun start. The cost is $2.50 per person or $10 per team.
A steak lunch and award ceremony begins at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall following the tournament. Tournament golfers eat free and non-golfers can eat for $5 per plate.
A dance will be held 9 p.m.-1 a.m. at the Sultana. The cost is $3 per person and $5 per couple.
