Williams 911: Week of Feb. 23, 2011

The Williams Police Department answered the following calls for service -

• Officers responded to an alarm on Seventh Street.

• Officers responded to a suspicious person at a hotel.

• Officers responded to a convenience store in reference to juvenile shoplifters.

• Officers cited two adults for truancy.

• Officers responded to an abandoned residence for a report of an open door.

• Officers took an identity theft report.

• Officers responded to Morse in reference to possible animal abuse.

• Officers arrested a male on Route 66 for underage consumption.

• Officers responded to a stabbing on Rodeo Road. A male was stabbed in the ear with a screwdriver. The Coconino County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) stopped the suspect's vehicle in Bellmont. CCSO took the suspect into custody for DUI. WPD charged the suspect with aggravated assault with weapon. The suspect resides in Flagstaff.

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on Quarterhorse.

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on Rodeo.

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on Grant.

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on Route 66. All accidents were ice and snow related.

• Officers assisted Life Line several times.

• Officers assisted a female who fell on Fulton.

• Officers took a report of a scam on Morse.

• Officers arrested a female for shoplifting at a business on Route 66.

• Officers responded to a disturbance on Pine. Officers found nothing in the area.

• Officers assisted CCSO with a residential alarm.

• Officers dealt with parking issues on Route 66.

• Officers removed a car that slid into a ditch on Rodeo Road.

• Officers took a report of a private property accident on Route 66.

• Officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Sixth Street. Officers found nothing in the area.

• Officers issued eight citations and gave out 25 warnings.
