Five generations celebrate 100th birthday

Former Williams resident Beulah Root, pictured holding her first great-great-grandchild Odette, will celebrate her 100th birthday on March 5 in Flagstaff. Pictured with her and Odette in this rare five-generation picture is her daughter Mary Craft of Williams, granddaughter Nicole Craft Uebel and great-granddaughter Mary Frances Uebel of Albuquerque. Beulah was born March 3, 1911 in Omaha, Neb. She has led a wonderfully full life and remains active with her family and friends. She is a committed Christian and always tries to live a life of kindness, gentleness and love. Howard Taft was president when she was born and Barack Obama is the 18th president on her list. She lived in Williams for 15 years and was active with Williams Senior Center and First Baptist Church. She now resides in Flagstaff. She has two daughters, four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Her birthday will be celebrated March 5, 2011 at Flagstaff Christian Fellowship.
