Charles Elmer Burrage
Mr. Charles Elmer Burrage, 84, of Prescott, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 at Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy May Burrage, who passed away in 1992.
Born in McGaffy, N.M. on Feb. 25, 1926, he was the son of the late Douglas Hamet and Thelma Lee (Hogue) Burrage.
Charles was an honorably discharged veteran having served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was employed for over 40 years as a carpenter in California. He was a life member of the American Legion Post No. 6 in Prescott and member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union.
Charles leaves his three sons, Charles Jr., Jeffery and David Burrage; two brothers, Harvey D. and James C. Burrage; and, two sisters, Alice F. Schnell and Joyce D. Sullivant. He was the grandfather of five grandchildren.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at the Williams Cemetery in Williams.
