65 years ago • May 2, 1946

• The Williams Public Schools is on the lookout for a school bus driver beginning with the 1946-1947 school year. The school places its needs for the coming three years at a 24-passenger bus and anyone bidding on the job must be prepared to furnish his own bus. Interested parties should contact the superintendent for details.

50 years ago • April 27, 1961

• The Game and Fish Department plans to plant fish in White Horse Lake about May 1, according to O. H. McDade, concessionaire at the popular recreation area. Mr. McDade says there were a couple of trailers of campers at the lake but they pulled out looking for a warmer climate. However, he expects plenty of campers once warm weather gets here.

35 years ago • April 29, 1976

• Marshall Bennett and Sally Catron were married Monday at city hall, with Judge T.E. Way performing the ceremony. Both principals are well known locally. Mr. Bennett is owner-operator of Bennett's Auto Repairs, and his wife is employed at Safeway.
