Letter: Support appreciated during blood drives
To the editor:
The Williams High School Community Blood Drive is becoming one of the largest blood drives in the state. United Blood Services is so appreciative to the Williams Community for supporting the Williams High School Student Council as they work hard to bring in as many blood donors as possible to fulfill the need of 700 daily blood donations for Arizona Hospital Patients.
The next blood drives are on Tuesday, April 26 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Wednesday, April 27 from 1-6 p.m. Your donation at the upcoming blood drives will be a tremendous help to the student council. You see, they are on their way to receiving the award for the Highest Participation of Donors of any high school in the state in the High School Challenge Program. They are hoping to have 150 successful donations with the upcoming two dates and even more donors can be seen. If they achieve this, they will be going to the May 3 Diamondbacks game against the Colorado Rockies. On top of this, they will be viewing the game from a Party Suite with food and drinks provided compliments of the Diamondbacks to celebrate their achievement.
I really hope the Williams Community will come out and support the community blood drive program and show the Williams High School Student Council that they are Number One amongst the Arizona High Schools!
If you would like to make an appointment, go to www.bloodhero.com or contact Mike Fleishman at 928-635-4474.
Once again, thank you for your support in giving the gift of life.
