Temporary repair materials available at Ponderosa Fire Station

BELLEMONT - Sheets of plywood, tarps and nails are now available for pick-up by Bellemont area residents who have been affected by today's tornadoes. Each home will be given up to four sheets of plywood, one tarp, and nails to be used to make temporary repairs on homes that received relatively minor damage.

The repairs are intended to keep people in their homes if they do not need to evacuate or relocate to the Red Cross shelter in Flagstaff, and not intended for severely damaged homes that are not inhabitable. The materials can be picked up at the Ponderosa Fire Station, 11851 S. Shadow Mountain Dr. in Bellemont.

APS representatives report that power may not be restored until approximately 10 p.m. tonight in the Bellemont area, contingent on county inspections of individual residences. APS crews and troublemen are currently working in the area.
