Editorial: Williams has a special event daily
Last weekend kicked off our summer and a frenzy of activities is already under way in downtown Williams. Inside the June 9 edition of the News, you will find our "Summer Fun" special publication. This special publication highlights and promotes special events that are coming to Williams and northern Arizona through the summer. The "Summer Fun" guide will be available throughout the summer at various downtown businesses and at all major events. We are creating this guide now and advertising space is limited. Call Brandon or Connie at (928) 635-4426 to reserve your space.
The next major event begins June 10 when motorcycle enthusiasts return for the Arizona State HOG Rally. We welcome the bikers as they come to our community for a weekend of riding, relaxing and enjoying special entertainment. Other events coming soon include the High Country War Birds Air Display, Small Town Fourth of July, Railhead Shooting Competition, Northern Arizona Barbecue Festival, Cowpunchers Reunion Rodeo, Taste of Williams, Cool Country Cruise-in and more.
During the summer on any given day, special events are offered in downtown Williams. A gunfight erupts daily at 7 p.m. when the Cataract Creek Gang stages a show at various downtown locations. Most evenings, live music can be heard from businesses located along Route 66. Even if you've lived here forever, it's worth the time to explore downtown Williams. See the town through the fresh eyes of a tourist. There's something for us all.
We welcome all these events along with the additional visitors they bring to Williams. There's virtually something for everyone to enjoy. It's going to be a busy and eventful summer. We'll see you around.
