Grace M. (Welty) Reid
Grace M. (Welty) Reid passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 in Orem, Utah.
She was born Feb. 8, 1914 in Silver Creek, Ohio to Harry Edward Welty and Esther Holvey. She was the youngest of eight children and is the last survivor.
She married Andrew H. Reid on Dec. 14, 1932 and they had four children. They are: Donald E. (Mary) of Forest Lakes; Dr. William H. (Loretta) of Queen Creek; Richard H. (Suzy) of Tempe; and Becky Ann (Craig) of Pleasant Grove, Utah. They had 20 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who are deceased.
She was an avid bowler and loved to go to the casino to play slot machines. They moved from Wadsworth, Ohio in 1947 for her health to Chandler and later to Williams. She lived in Pleasant Grove, Utah for the past several years with her daughter, Becky, and husband Dr. Craig Ririe.
Services were held Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr. in Chandler. Burial followed at Valley of the Sun Memorial Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd. in Chandler.
