Buffalo will not be hunted in Arizona during 1946, according to the Arizona Game and Fish Commission. Members of the commission decided to forego any reduction of buffalo for another year in an effort to build up the new herd at Raymond Ranch near Flagstaff.
50 years ago Dec. 15, 1960
All Girl Scouts will hold their troop parties Monday after school. The Christmas dance has been cancelled, but there will be a Valentine dance instead.
35 years ago Dec. 18, 1975
Ben Miranda, Marcello Rodriguez and Gil Corona braved Saturday's storm and went up the mountain to cut down this beautiful tree for Gov. Raul Castro. This is in keeping with a tradition started many years ago. Ben Miranda has had the help of several partners in this venture down through the years.
